I have over 15 years’ experience working for public sector organisations. This has been predominantly within operational management roles, working as a principal intelligence analyst for the Police Scotland and as a quality manager for a partner college of the University of the Highlands and Islands.

I am currently based on-site at NHS Highland in Inverness as an internal audit assistant manager, where I have been involved in some of their more specialist and complex reviews, identifying risks and evaluating systems and processes in order to improve their internal controls. I also carry out internal audit for a number of other clients, including NHS Shetland and NHS Orkney, as well as performance management reviews and financial monitoring for the Argyll and Bute Integration Joint Board.

In addition to the above, I have led and participated in wider projects in relation to efficiency and continuous improvement and facilitated Rapid Improvement Events to improve business processes and the overall service user experience. I really enjoy the ‘added value’ aspect of my job, using my skills to help drive efficiencies and improvements within the organisations I work with.
