I have worked in audit and governance with Scott-Moncrieff for 20 years, starting out as a trainee and progressing to become a partner in 2002. The biggest achievement in my career so far has been setting up Scotland’s first specialist charity team as a newly qualified CA and seeing it grow to become the leading charity practice in Scotland.

I love working with the charities sector as it is so creative, innovative and capable of delivering far more than it is funded for. I work with very small charities to some of the largest in Scotland, from those who are entirely reliant on the public for funding to arts and heritage charities.

Outwith Scott-Moncrieff, I volunteer for a range of charities as a board member, including one providing services to their community, and one funding and facilitating social impact investment. This provides me with the invaluable experience of seeing things from my clients’ point of view. I am also a member of the Scottish Charity Finance Group.
