CA

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) is the world's first professional body of accountants.  It was the first to adopt the designation "Chartered Accountant" and the designatory letters "CA" are recognised around the world.

Scott-Moncrieff is a fully accredited training provider, offering trainees access to the CA qualification.

By integrating our work experience with ICAS, we develop accountants of the highest standard.

CIPFA is one of the leading professional accountancy bodies in the UK and the only one which specialises in the public sector. It is responsible for the education and training of professional accountants and for their regulation through the setting and monitoring of professional standards. CIPFA lay claim to be the leading independent commentator on managing and accounting for public money.

Uniquely among the professional accountancy bodies in the UK, CIPFA has responsibility for setting accounting standards for a significant part of the economy, namely local government. CIPFA?s members work, often at the most senior levels, in public service bodies, in the national audit agencies and major accountancy firms. They are respected throughout for their high technical and ethical standards, and professional integrity.

Scott-Moncrieff is a recognised leader in the public sector with a grade A rating from Audit Scotland. 

Scott-Moncrieff works closely with CIPFA in developing specialist accountants to succeed in the biggest sectors of business in the UK.  The CIPFA qualification opens the door to becoming an accountant respected throughout the UK for high technical and ethical standards, and professional integrity.

Scott-Moncrieff dovetails its workload with the three stages of the CIPFA qualification in order to provide trainees with the practical work skills they need. At each stage successful students can apply for membership and receive designatory letters.

ACCA

ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the largest and fastest-growing global professional accountancy body with 296,000 students and 115,000 members in 170 countries. They aim to offer a first choice qualification, to people of application, ability and ambition around the world who seek a rewarding career in accountancy.

Scott-Moncrieff supports our trainees and staff in achieving the ACCA qualification.  In doing so, we incorporate the highest professional, ethical and governance standards to exceed the needs and expectations of our clients and enhance the accountancy profession.  

As an established route to professional status, allowing you to use the 'ACCA' letters after your name, the qualification can help you reach the highest levels in accounting.  As part of the ACCA membership, you will be required to complete a professional ethics module in addition to passing 14 exams (nine of which are eligible for exemption) and three years' relevant practical experience.

Our ACCA students work with a range of our clients from international organisations, headquartered in Scotland, to fast growing SMEs and large charitable organisations.
