Audit and Assurance
Purpose of the Role
To deliver Audit Services (external and internal audit services) to a range of public sector organisations including local authorities, NHS boards and FE and central government bodies, as well as to a number of commercial organisations.
Key responsibilities include staff planning and supervision, liaison with clients on site, drafting reports.
Successful candidate will have excellent prospects for career development within Scott-Moncrieff’s large and highly respected Public Sector Group.
Critical Competencies
•Familiarity with risk based systems auditing
•Excellent communication skills, oral and written
•Excellent interpersonal skills and good team worker
•Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative
•Ambitious and willing to progress to Assistant Manager/ Manager
Experience Essential
• Newly CCAB qualified or near qualified
• Previous external audit experience within the public sector
• Understanding of internal audit
• Experience of producing written reports or similar
• Experience in working in a client facing environment
• Proven academic ability
• Systems/ risk based external audit experience but not necessarily in the public sector
• IT literate
