Payroll Manager

Scott Moncrieff are currently looking for a Payroll Manager to join our busy Payroll Team in Glasgow.  The successful individual will have responsibility of managing the Payroll team and our Payroll clients.

Main duties

  • Manage all of our payroll clients and ensure that they are receiving high quality work from the payroll team.
  • Ensuring that all legislative requirements are met.
  • Ensuring that all deadlines are met.
  • Meet with or make regular calls to clients to ensure we are covering all of their requirements.
  • Review fee levels.
  • Review service level agreements.
  • Prepare fees.
  • Partner/client liaison.
  • Provide advice to service groups.
  • Ensure that the most appropriately trained employees are dealing with the correct level of payroll.
  • Regular meetings/calls to clients to ensure we are covering all requirements and not just for payroll/pensions.
  • Provide quotes for potential new clients.
  • Market the team internally as well as externally.
  • Meet with potential new clients.
  • Develop payroll strategy and contribute to service group plans.
  • Line management of payroll employees.
  • Ensure employee knowledge remains up to date.
  • Prepare portfolios dependant on employee’s knowledge /expertise.
  • Maintain and update procedures as necessary.
  • Assist junior employees with payroll training and auto enrolment training as required.
  • Review timesheets.
  • General admin of the department.
  • Review payrolls.
  • Plan timetables.
