Cyber Assistant Manager/Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Assistant Manager / Manager to join our Business Technology Consulting team, either in our Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

Main duties

  • To build Scott-Moncrieff’s Cyber business within BTC. Taking responsibility for client acquisition, client delivery, the development of Cyber capability within BTC, and for growing Scott-Moncrieff’s brand as a provider of Cyber services.
  • To act as a leader and mentor within the BTC team and across the wider business.
  • Take responsibility for coordinating the delivery of Cyber engagements, delivered by the wider BTC group.
  • Work with Managers and junior staff to ensure that the firm’s quality standards and procedures are adhered to.
  • Take end to end responsibility for the management of client relationships, including overseeing the negotiations around scope, scope changes and fees with the client.
  • Coordinate the management of a portfolio of clients, including the planning, resourcing and delivery of work.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships using effective, appropriate and timely communication methods, and seeking opportunities to deepen client relationships.
  • Lead closeout meetings, and lead as appropriate in the presentation of the output of work after the conclusion of the assignment (for example Audit Committee meetings).
  • Engage proactively across Scott-Moncrieff to ensure that the client receives the best service that the firm can offer.
  • Lead the development and growth of BTC’s Cyber Security business.
  • Lead the development of responses to tendering opportunities for Cyber Assurance and Advisory work.
  • Develop the Scott-Moncrieff brand in the Cyber Market through the development of thought pieces for e-bulletins / publications, and campaigns.
  • Build a professional network beyond Scott-Moncrieff.
  • Actively lead BTC’s Cyber Security business, including developing and leading the Cyber competency within the BTC team.
  • Brief employees on work required, to delegate effectively and supervise work appropriately.
  • Provide constructive feedback to employees via the firm’s appraisal process (ROAD) and other ongoing. appraisal processes as required.
  • Provide coaching, support and on-the-job training to team members.
  • Act as a role model to junior members of the team.
  • Seek opportunities to be involved in non-chargeable activity which will contribute to the development of the team e.g. training.

Skills required

  • Background in audit / assurance would be useful
