I work within Scott-Moncrieff’s public sector team as an internal audit senior manager. My current clients include central government, health, education and arts organisations. I also have experience outwith the public sector, having worked with clients across the corporate and charity sectors. I was named within ICAS' 'Top 35 CAs under 35' in 2016 and also in Charity Finance Magazine's 'Top 25 under 35' in 2015 for my work within the charity and third sectors.
Outwith the firm, I am a member of the ICAS Audit and Assurance Panel and the IIA’s Regional Committee for Scotland, helping to support the wider profession and internal audit practitioners. I also sit as an independent trustee and vice-chair of a local authority leisure trust, which has given me a first-hand experience of the challenges boards face, as well as the role that internal audit can play in helping to support good governance.
An accountancy graduate of the University of Glasgow, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2010 and joined Scott-Moncrieff in January 2015. I am also qualified as a Chartered Internal Auditor (CMIIA). Prior to joining Scott-Moncrieff, I spent several years working in in-house internal audit teams, both within the public sector and with a private company. This allowed me to gain a greater understanding of the challenges organisations may encounter when implementing internal audit recommendations and the need to be practical when managing change.
